Leaving on a Jet Plane

Life has been so busy lately!  Couple that with the fact that I am struggling just to get through my day to day responsibilities and you get a blogger missing in action.  Sorry!  I'm not going to promise to do better because I have been down this road of battling with depression before and I'm not sure when it will improve.  Instead I'm just going to ask you to bear with me and if you pray, please pray for me.  Thanks

In other news, in just a few days I will be leaving on one of these....
This will be the second time I have EVER flown.  The first time I was accompanied by a friend who was well rehearsed in air travel.  This time I am going it alone.  Needless to say if you have any tips to share regarding flying, packing, etc.  I would love to hear them!  I am a heavy packer and we usually travel by car so it's going to be a little challenging for me to pack light.  My main problem seems to be shoes.  A girl's gotta have her shoes, right?

Let me be the first to share a tip.  If you don't fly much (or even if you do) it might not be such a good idea to search google images for "plane" because you find pictures like this....
and this...
and this...

Not too comforting for a novice air traveler!

At any rate.  Our family is going to Florida to participate in my mom's wedding.  I am flying out ahead of them to help with the wedding preparations.  I'm really looking forward to spending some time with my momma and the rest of my family and friends.

I'll defiantly be praying for you! Good luck flying...I'm sure everything will be fine. I don't really have any tips other than you can rewear something...nobody will mind. I used to pack heavy but now I pack light especially if we're staying somewhere with a washing machine! It's so worth it! Pack the necessities and call it good. Have fun at the wedding...Great location to travel to! :)

Have a wonderful trip & congrats to your Mom!

When I fly, I used to be a heavy packer as well but that got overwhleming when flying alone. I started planning mix & match outfits. I would always wear a super comfy outfit on the way there & back which was usually yokga pants, a t-shirt & a light jacket with flip-flops. The flip-flops made it perfect for me to kick off when going through security as well as for taking them off on the flights. 17 hours give or take is far too long for me to wear shoes. I am a barefoot person!

I am sure you have done this but I always chew gum when taking off & landing. I hate when my ears need to pop & I can't get them to do it. The gum takes care of that.

Take a good book with you & some magazines. Those help keep my mind of of things.

Take your camera as part of your personal items. I always love taking pictures from the air.

Have fun!

Still checking in and praying that all is well. Missing your thoughts in color, but truly understand. Sometimes LIFE is just too crazy to even record. There is a reason memories fade over time. God bless you and your family.
