Five Question Friday 05/07

I love Five Question Friday! It's so much fun. Sorry for the meme posts of late. It's the only way I can get posting in right now. I hope that will be improving very soon when my schedule slows down. I hope you will stick with me until then. I do have some ideas for other, more creative, posts.  I just don't have the creative energy to spend on them right now. Sorry. For now I hope this will suffice.

1. What is your worst memory of your siblings?

I don't really have any bad memories of my siblings. I guess the worst memory I can think of is the time some guy (who was a relative of one of our childhood friends) threw a golf ball hard and hit my brother in the head and his head swelled up and it looked like he had a golf ball on his forehead. I almost killed the guy!

2. What was YOUR naughtiest childhood memory? (Must be something YOU did, no pawning it off on someone else!)

Ok, so we are talking CHILDHOOD, right?  I was pretty good when I was a child. It wasn't until I became a teenager that I started doing things I shouldn't.  I guess the worst thing I can think of would be putting make-up on for a dance after I went to my friend's house because my mom had told me I couldn't wear make-up.  

3. Where do you like to go to relax?

My favorite way to unwind is to watch TV.  I love to get lost in a good episode of Grey's Anatomy or Private Practice. I am a TV junkie.  

4. What was the last thing you won?

The last thing I won was a couple of cute Christmas stockings from Julia over at Work, Wife, Mom, Life. 

5. If you could be on a game show, which would you choose?

I think it would be fun to play Deal or No Deal.  

Getting to Know You 05/02

In an effort to get back in the bloggy swing of things (and thanks to a friends suggestion - thanks Penny) I am joining in on the Getting to Know You fun with Keely over at MannLand5.

1. Are you superstitious?

Nope

2. If you were an animal..what kind would you be?
Probably a cat. They seem to moody and prissy - like a woman. ;)

3. You would never catch me wearing.........?
Saying that you would NEVER catch me wearing a particular item is a pretty bold stance and right now I can't think of anything I can say I would NEVER wear. So instead I'll tell you that I am not a big fan of t-shirts.  I like clothes that make me feel girly and t-shirts have never done that for me.  I will wear them on occasion, but mostly I don't care for them.


4. If someone posts a VLOG..do you watch it?
Not usually. A lot of times it is just not convenient to listen to the audio. I prefer to read a blog.

5. Have you ever waxed your girlie/manly parts..or any other part of your body?
Don't really think this is the kind of info I want to put out there on my blog.;)


6. Are you a spender or a saver?
I am a spender, but I am thrifty. 

7. If you were starring in a movie..who would you want to play your leading man/woman?
I have no idea. 

8. Smoker..never smoked..social smoker..or smoked back in the day?
Never smoked

Fast and Furious

Fast and furious.  That seems to describe my life and schedule right now.  The month of April has included lots of traveling for me including a wedding and a women's conference.  The month of May doesn't look to be any quieter. I will be traveling to another wedding this weekend.  The second weekend of May is our Ladies' Tea at our church.  The third weekend will be my sweet husband's graduation.  After lots and lots of hard work he will be receiving his Bachelor's Degree.  I am so proud of him! We have lots of friends and family coming in from out of town.  I'm sure it will loads of fun.  School softball for my daughter has finally come to a close only to make way for city league.  I have hopes that this week will be the week that I will get back into the swing of things and make it around to all my beloved blogs.  I made it to quite a few today and hope to visit some more tonight.  In the mean time I really need some blogging inspiration. What do you do to keep your bloggy juices flowing when life is fast and furious?  I could really use some help/ideas.  

I'm Back!!

I made it safely to and from Florida.  The wedding was great. A lot of work, but my mom is happy and that's all that matters!  Thanks to those who said that I was missed!  I missed all of you too.  I hope to be around soon to catch up with everyone.  Life has been very busy since I've returned and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon.  This is the only weekend I have free for over a month.  I wish I could spend it just resting up, but my house is in desperate need of some attention.  So I'm off to start the cleaning. 

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Life has been so busy lately!  Couple that with the fact that I am struggling just to get through my day to day responsibilities and you get a blogger missing in action.  Sorry!  I'm not going to promise to do better because I have been down this road of battling with depression before and I'm not sure when it will improve.  Instead I'm just going to ask you to bear with me and if you pray, please pray for me.  Thanks

In other news, in just a few days I will be leaving on one of these....

This will be the second time I have EVER flown.  The first time I was accompanied by a friend who was well rehearsed in air travel.  This time I am going it alone.  Needless to say if you have any tips to share regarding flying, packing, etc.  I would love to hear them!  I am a heavy packer and we usually travel by car so it's going to be a little challenging for me to pack light.  My main problem seems to be shoes.  A girl's gotta have her shoes, right?

Let me be the first to share a tip.  If you don't fly much (or even if you do) it might not be such a good idea to search google images for "plane" because you find pictures like this....

At any rate.  Our family is going to Florida to participate in my mom's wedding.  I am flying out ahead of them to help with the wedding preparations.  I'm really looking forward to spending some time with my momma and the rest of my family and friends.
